Creating a New Member

Note: The Member Admin tab is only visible to Members with a Role of School Coordinator, or Principle/Deputy Principle.

How to Create a New Member

Check with the person do they already have a Member ID for Edekit. When someone is created in Edekit and given a Member ID, this ID belongs to them irrespective of how many Schools or Subscriptions they are a Member of. If they already have an Edekit Member ID, send a Support Enquiry to Edekit (using the 'Support' tab) requesting the Member be added to your subscription.

If they don't already have an Edekit Member ID, click on the Create a New Member link in the Member Admin tab

Create a New Member

Fill in the details of the New Member.

Tick on the Roles(s) the Member will have in your subscription, and the KLAs they should have access to for each Role.

An email will be sent to the new Member using the email address you provided. The email contains information for the Member on how to login to Edekit, their Member ID, and their temporary password. They will be prompted to change their password when they first login.

Note: Passwords cannot be reset by by anyone except the members themselves. The 'forgot your password' link on the login page is used by members to reset their passwords using some security questions, or Members can change their own passwords in the 'Profile' tab
